Dredging
In addition to Aggregates and Hot Mix Asphalt Material Supplies, Dickerson also offers a full line of inshore dredging capabilities. Currently operating at our Indrio Mine location, we have a Marlin Class cutter suction head dredge capable of up to 80 foot dredging depths. The Marlin dredge is currently excavating and transporting materials from an underwater depth of 50 feet that were remnants from the previous phase of mining. This dredge is designed to excavate rock as well as other types of materials.
We also offer Barracuda Class cutter suction head dredges with capabilities up to 30 foot dredging depths. Common uses for the Barracuda Class dredges include, but are not limited to:
- Lake Excavation
- Navigable Waterway Construction/Cleanup
- Harbor/Marina Maintenance
- Development Construction
- Channel Construction/Cleanup
- Environmental Reclamation
Our dredges offer an environmentally friendly option to some traditional excavation and earthmoving operations.
Our dredges are equipped with the latest technology in global positioning and underwater mapping. We have survey capabilities and equipment onboard our dredging units to accommodate exacting specifications required by engineering and governing agencies. Our dredge units are also accompanied by dredge tender units from 14’ to 36’ single screw or twin screw pilot house work boats.
We can pump a multitude of materials including, but not limited to:
- Sand
- Shell
- Rock
- Silt
- Sludge
Our dredges are capable of transporting materials distances that are consistent with all of today’s project demands.
